March 31 - Hike from Cureggia to Monte Bré (I've done this before!)

So even though I've done this hike before, I just can't help taking pictures!!!! It's so breathtaking! We had great weather - sunny and about 70 degrees.
The mountain path between Cureggia and Monte Bre

My hiking companion and love of my life!

There are two spots along the path where there is an opening in the trees and a great view of Lugano, the lake, and the distant mountains. In these two spots are also the typical red Swiss benches. We were looking forward to sitting on one of these along our hike to eat our homemade sandwiches, but sure enough - someone else is already sitting on those benches!!! I always say, you're never alone in the Swiss mountains!

It's so AWESOME to see the super high snowcapped Alps in the distance! It's jaw-dropping in real life.

The other opening on the path.

Just more pretty views

Now we are walking along the side of Monte Bre. There are so many great pictures to take from this mountain, but I've posted so many before - here I'm trying to get some other shots. The close, brown mountain I'm standing on is Switzerland. All the other darker mountains in the picture are Italy (except for part of the Lake) This is looking east.

We actually had hiked up many steps, and decided to take the road the rest of the way - this leads to the restaurant at the top.
